If you have known my family for any length of time, you may know about our history with the number two. It seems that the number follows us around. It can be good luck, fun, or it can be scary. I don't know how it all started, but I am pretty sure it originated with my mom.
Today, as I was applying my makeup, I decided to make it interesting. Since this is a daily routine, might as well shake it up a bit, eh? I wanted to look at the various names that describe the makeup. What I began to notice was that the number two had struck again! Take a look:
Foundation: 02 Linen
Powder: 02 Stay Neutral
Blush: 22 Pure
Eye Shadow: 202 Trios for Blues
Eye Liner: 02 Brown Topaz
Isn't that freaky? It crosses brands too. These were a combination of Clinique, Neutrogena, and Almay. My Revlon mascara, my Clinique lipstick, and my Maybelline concealer did not have numbers.

Easter comes Early
Did you enjoy the earliest Easter that any of us will ever see? I was worried about the weather, you know, but it ended up being a pretty nice day! Unfortunately, so many around us were battling sickness. This has been one crazy season of sickness. I am very thankful Audrey has remained healthy through it! Too bad Mimi and Papa couldn't hold her yesterday. Audrey did get to spend time with Ma and Poppy. Ma - aka, the Easter Bunny - gave Audrey a great Easter basket! I get to eat the Peeps, yum! We also got to see a new birth into Christ when my cousin, Ashley, was baptized yesterday.
On a side note, I hope you enjoy the new look to the blog!
An update from the previous post:
- Audrey is now doing better at night since she started to pull this every 2 hour business. The past 3 nights, she has chunked together 6 hours of sleep and I only had to get up with her twice.
- The family picture was never taken. Again, sickness was to blame. When the picture does take place, hopefully Audrey will a little bit older and not be as fussy.
- Easter weather - no rain and warmer than anticipated!
Here are some pics from Easter. We were running around the entire day and didn't get home until 10:30. I may dress Audrey up again and get a posed shot of just her.
On a side note, I hope you enjoy the new look to the blog!

Uniquely Chinese
There is a restaurant in Addison named Uniquely Chinese. Michael just can't get over this name. What makes it unique? We've eaten there and it's pretty much a normal Chinese place. Last night, we went to another Chinese restaurant that gave us a truly unique experience.
First of all, there were very few people dining there last night. I felt that any word that was said was being heard by all. It didn't help that I saw some of the staff peeking around a wall to look at us. There was even one waiter that stood in this doorway staring at us. It sounded like there were fifty people in the kitchen and they were making all sorts of racket. Michael thought that there may be something illegal taking place back there. Our waitress came and questioned us about Audrey. She even had to ask if this baby, dressed in pink and with a pink bow, was a boy or a girl. It was hard to understand her well, but I thought that she asked to hold her. I didn't hand her over because how odd would that be if that was not what she had said. She started talking to Audrey and Audrey immediately went into tears. That didn't keep her from tickling her tummy...hard! I felt like I couldn't talk with Michael about anything that was going through my mind because they would either hear it or read my lips if I mouthed anything. When we finished dinner, another waitress came by to see Audrey. She also had to ask whether Audrey was a boy or a girl. (?????) She spoke English a little better and asked to hold her. I allowed her and Audrey fell apart once again. The original waitress came back and took her too. Then a lady that may have been the manager came by. Her voice was higher than a squealing toddler. She began talking to Audrey, who was already crying, and frightened her with her voice. Now the men begin to come by with questions...I have to answer the gender question AGAIN! Finally the waitress decides that she should give the crying baby back but she won't give her back to me (Audrey is leaning waaaaay towards me) and has Michael take her back very awkwardly. We were able to finally leave with our crying baby GIRL in tow!
Now, all of this may just be a cultural thing, but I felt like I was in a strange movie. I don't like to be watched like that. Poor Audrey. Babies must be such a sight for these guys! At least the food was great...it was uniquely Chinese!

Tired, Fearful, and Frustrated
What has happened to Audrey's sleeping pattern?? She had been sleeping 12 hours with one break. Oh how I long for nights such as those! She has gotten into a habit of getting up every two hours. What in the world happened? I'm going to be pulling out all my tricks tonight so that I can function this weekend...hopefully.
Saturday morning, all of the Hall grandkids are getting their picture made. I am very fearful that Audrey will go into a complete meltdown. Most likely, she will be held by another kid (can you see her screaming yet?) and will have missed a nap.
Easter Sunday looks to be getting colder and colder. I've been watching the weather for this day for awhile now. I'm totally missing the point of Easter while I type this, but I wanted to get a dress for Audrey that was weather appropriate and cute. Each day that I look at the forecast since buying a dress, the temperature has dropped for Sunday. At least I wasn't looking forward to taking pictures of her hunting for eggs since it looks like it's going to rain too. Oh, and how will I deal with that? We haven't had to deal with going out in the rain yet. Do I just take her out of the car seat and hold her under an umbrella with me? Do a place a blanket over the car seat and run? I will stop thinking about this and contemplate the glorious sacrifice God made and the meaning of Easter now.

3 Months Old!
Audrey turned 3 months Sunday! I'm thinking she may be shy. She will grin so much around us but grab a camera or when others are around, she becomes very serious. I've been able to work with her curls a little more. And, she is now in her own room at night...which I LOVE!
Michael just spent his last week of paternity leave. We treated it like a vacation, since we don't go anywhere, and ate out each night. Michael is amazed at how men never even glance over at Audrey but nearly every woman stops to take a look. I don't know why this comes as such a shock to him - I never saw him stop to look at babies before. We also spent a lot of time with family which is always fun.

Did you Vote?
I voted today. Of course, I had Audrey with me and the old man said that only one of us could vote. I did the legal thing and said it would be me that would vote.
Audrey is beginning to smile and even laugh more and more. Some of her favorite things are: Michael, when I brush my teeth, my hair in a towel on top of my head, and flying way up in the air!
